SHOPIFY - App Compatibility

The OpenPath Hosted Checkout has direct compatibility with all standard Shopify features and apps with a few minor exceptions. Details of the the interchangeability are as follows:

Payment Types

Work exactly as normal with Shopify:

• PayPal
• AmazonPay
• Shopify gift cards

Works differently from normal Shopify:

• ApplePay (displays on final payment page; rather than during initial checkout)

Not supported (only available with Shopify Payments):

• Remember credit card details
• GooglePay

Recurring Payments

Work exactly as normal with Shopify:

• Recharge (note - recurring transactions will go through their configured processor)
• Bold Subscriptions (note - recurring transactions will go through their configured processor)

Discount Codes

Work exactly as normal with Shopify:

• Shopify discount codes
• 3rd party discount apps

Order Variants

Work differently from normal Shopify:

• Draft Orders - Emailed draft orders can be paid by customer through hosted checkout. Draft orders keyed by merchant cannot be paid by credit card. We recommend that merchant support staff are directed to place orders through the normal checkout pages.
